Some of our readers have attempted to share imgur links in posts, only to find that as our Discourse site is HTTPS-only the image won’t embed correctly.
Is there any scope add a whitelist for sites which are known to offer SSL and automatically convert URLs from HTTP to HTTPS?
When an image is oneboxed, this already happens:

generates a link to I work on Wall St. This ad was just posted. - Imgur, as seen here:
(replaced with a smaller image)
That’s the other part of the problem, new users posting imgur links in this format:
