Meta property="og:image" Does not display in my development environment

People,

While getting my own Discourse running I noticed that including my site link as such:

Does not display the OG image - I have this in my site index.html:

<meta property="og:image" content="http://philiprhoades.org/phil4.jpg" />

Am I correct in understanding when searching for info here that displaying these images is not allowed by default or is it just because I am running in development mode?

You must be running Sidekiq in the background to get proper oneboxing.
