So long story short, I help run a small-medium sized discourse site (~250k views a month). In the interests of saving some bandwidth/space on the server I’m using I just switched the backups and uploads to point at S3 now. However, I’m also interested in migrating the ~6GB of uploads that are currently stored locally to the s3 bucket as well. I tried to follow some of the guides/support materials here pointed me to the rake uploads:migrate_to_s3 but getting some failures there.
Currently hosted on a Digital Ocean VPS.
I see Uploads migration to S3 fails which is super similar to my current situation.
