Move create topic to the top

You can disable that part of the material design theme via CSS or you can install this component:

(+ New topic) button in the header on all pages

A simple theme component to add the + New Topic button to the header. The button will show on every page - even inside topics. I have no idea how it works associated to the material design theme, it’s a nice experiment to do .
