New Experiment: Enable AI search with one click!

Previously we rolled out Summarize on your Discourse with one-click!. Today we are doing it for AI search.

Discourse AI - AI search is now available for Free, Standard, Business, and Enterprise tiers without the need for a 3rd party Large Language Model (LLM) provider.

This means Discourse is now providing a hosted open-weights LLM for customers to enable Summarize.

How do I enable AI search?

You have the power to enable or disable AI search at any time from the What's New section. All related customizations are available within the Discourse AI plugin settings.

What does being an experiment mean?

This means that the AI feature is subject to change at any time, including its feature set and availability. We are using this as a means to test things out while opening the doors for more users to enjoy new features and give feedback.

Please feel free to share any questions, concerns, or ideas. How are you enjoying it?

About one click I don’t say anything, because I don’t see it. Semantic search itself… I get better answers from Ask much faster, because I normally don’t know exact search terms, just what I need. And the Ask explains (except when it hallucinates big time :joy:) but with search I have to open 100 hits and read all those topics thru just to find I didn’t get what I needed :man_shrugging:

So from my point of view the questions is not if semantic search is better or not (no matter is its enabling happens in one or 15 secs, but is searching good enough at all.
