@Cate_Soule I don’t think you’ve provided enough information for us to be able to help you. Were you able to resolve your issue on your own?
You could take a scan through your site settings at /admin/site_settings/category/posting?onlyOverridden=true, showing only overridden settings, to see if you can find a setting that you changed that is affecting your users ability to edit their posts?
