It seems that on a Discourse forum I frequent, some archived threads allow some posts to still be “liked”, aka “hearted”, and some not. If there is a method to the madness I am not able to suss it out. Is this normal/usual, or something more interesting or buggy happening here?

If they want correct behavior and don’t want a bunch of security issues that have been fixed since then, then they should upgrade.
