Opened new Discourse - test/prod?

Hi all,

I just set up a new community using Discourse and for those managing their own forum, do you manage a separate test instance or do you just have prod?

Hi Cat,

I’m running a community of around 400 users, so I just have one prod instance. But with the growth of my community, I would probably set up one for testing.

If you’re using custom plugins or highly customized themes a staging instance is a good idea, but if not, you’re pretty safe with just prod.
