I would look at the possibility of adding support for landing on a specific topic when using Invite Links. But note that there would be a bit of friction here as the user will need to click on activation link in email before being logged into the forums.
It would be great to make the invitation system compatible with SSO accounts.
Details:
Our forum does not use local login, accounts require login via Google SSO.
We wanted to use an invite link to get our entire community on board, but you can only create invite links when local logins are enabled. And if we create a link with local login temporarily enabled, then a new user is asked to create a local account (although local logins are disabled again).
For now, we’re using the global invite code, which works fine with SSO. But invitations would be much better and offer more flexibility.
