It’s possible to mention the group for every member that’s in the group. The group is visible in autocomplete. However under Posting you can see that nobody should be able to do that.
When someone is a group owner, and Posting Who can @mention this group? is set to Nobody, it is still possible to mention the group when you’re a group owner. The group is visible in autocomplete. This should not be possible.
When someone is not a group owner and the settings are as in example 2, they cannot mention the group / it’s not visible in autocomplete. It seems like settings under Visiblity work fine, but settings under Posting do not work as expected.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong with my settings?
With example 1, when someone is added as a member, the autocomplete is available and styling is added to the @ word. But who can @mention this group? is set to Nobody. I expected that the autocomplete and styling would not be available here.
With example 2, when someone is added as a group owner, the autocomplete is available and styling is added to the @ word. But who can @mention this group? is set to Nobody. I expected that the autocomplete and styling would not be available here.
With example 2, when someone is added as a member, the autocomplete is available and styling is not added to the @ word. This works as expected.
The documentation says that everyone who can see the group can use the autocomplete. But only when the user is allowed to mention the group members are notified.
