Problems with Auto-posting of Wordpress Post into Discourse Topic

I am having issues with the Wordpress plug-in.

When I “publish” a WP post with the publish to Discourse option checked, the topic is created in Discourse but the post content contains either a broken image portrait or a string of code that appears to have the URL of the featured image of the WP post.

Can someone tell me what might be happening? Thank you.

What I do to circumvent the problem until this issue is fixed is simply publishing the WP post THEN updating it (without doing any modification). Takes 3 more seconds and updates the Discourse topic with working images.
