Can Discourse protect the forum entries itself without needing a membership site to protect the entries?

Yes, during setup, select “login required” in the setup wizard and login will be required to post or view any content.
Thanks Jeff, so I assume any wordpress user can login… and can one have a central wordpress login for a membership site and gain access to Discourse? (instead of a user needing to login twice?)
