Can I use this feature on the topic list? Something like this:
It seems to me that this will create the appearance of a live site.

I don’t think anyone’s built that yet but you might have better luck by asking someone to build a custom plugin for it on the #marketplace.

Why? I would not support such a feature. As replies come in, topics get bumped to the top of the list anyway.
