Restrict topic create without a category

I am new to Discourse and I want to know how could I stop creating new topics without a category.

Just start a new topic, and leave it uncategorized (the default category)!

In case @thimiraonline wants to turn off the Uncategorized category (I think that’s the request…), that is possible.

There is a setting called allow uncategorized topics. It’s description is:

Allow topics to be created without a category. WARNING: If there are any uncategorized topics, you must recategorize them before turning this off.

So before you uncheck it, make sure to move any topics to a different category; selecting multiple topics and moving them in bulk is sometimes useful here.
