"saved passwords" dialog covers "Send Message" button (Firefox Android)

On Firefox Android if a user uses a saved password to log in, sometimes (?) the saved password dialog doesn’t go away, and overlaps with the bottom row buttons (incl. the “send message” button). See screen recording.

Since there is no keyboard shortcut to send message (that I’m aware of), this means that the page needs to be hard-reloaded (the dialog remains after a soft-refresh).

This is partly a Firefox Android issue:

  • the dialog should probably time out
  • there should be a way to dismiss the dialog

I’ll look into that next and update here if I find anything interesting.

However, is there a way that discourse could be aware of banners like this and only present information on the remaining screen-space?

There is a trick for that, if you open the console, you will see:

Discourse v3.5.0.beta2-dev — Commits · discourse/discourse · GitHub — Ember v5.12.0 - so this is from March 4, quite old.

Additionally there is an error there in the console they need to handle which mentions credentials this very much could be related.

Given site is quite old, moving this to support can you double check if you can repro this here on meta?
