Search form "Posted by" field disappears on iPhone (DiscourseHub)

This field just disappears when I click on “Search…”

I think this may also happen on Change Ownership dropdown too.

Confirmed, on my forum. The screenshot above is from Meta.

It works on my iphone? I think mine is 15.6, but I have only had it about 10 minutes and am not hugely familiar with it yet.

Mine is on 15.6 too.

It seems to be position dependent. Whilst at this point (Change Ownership dialogue) move the page up and down and the users appear and disappear at a certain height.

Hmmm. I can’t get it to not work. I have an iPhone 13 Pro if that makes any difference?

11 Pro Max iOS 15.5.

The above applies to Discourse Hub app.

The search form works fine on Safari.

That was the missing piece for me. I can replicate this in DiscourseHub on my iPhone for both Change Ownership and the ‘Posted by’ advanced search UI. :+1:

Gah sorry about that. Yes, within Discourse Hub.

FYI, we have a repro and are investigating a fix. Interesting that the same control is used in the composer (for adding users/group in PMs) and we are not seeing this issue.

Still Discourse Hub?

Wait…

I can’t now.

As I said I’m on iOS 16 and I have a 12 pro max

Does it change if you drag it up and down? (The whole page)

I only see this bug on Discourse Hub not on vanilla safari.

If I drag the page and modal/drop-down will disappear along with user cards

Can you confirm the issue goes away if you use vanilla Safari 16?

I have normal Safari and it works normal as well.

Must be an iOS 15 thing

Thanks.

Just updated my phone to the public beta of iOS 16 and can concur that it seems NOT to be an issue in Discourse Hub or Safari 16.

Most odd that the Production stable (iOS 15.6) should be inferior!

So @sam if it takes you a little while to get around to this it might be lower priority by next month
