Self host Business account

Hello everyone,

I am looking into implementing Discourse within our company’s platform.

We have a strict requirement that the solution must be hosted on our own premises. However, some of the services we need appear to be included only in the Business version, not in the free version.

My questions are:

  1. If we sign up for the Business version, does it allow us to host Discourse on-premises?
  2. If on-premises hosting is only available through the free/self-hosted version, would we still be able to integrate services such as SSO login, gamification, and other advanced features somehow?

Thank you in advance for your guidance.

Discourse is open-source GPL v2 software, so you can self-host it without signing up to any plan.

SSO and gamification are baked into the core distribution of Discourse, and work out of the box on the self-hosted open source version.
