It doesn’t seem like it’s possible to remove a name or avatar_url using DiscourseConnect SSO. I’ve tried setting the fields to an empty string (confirmed e.g. avatar_url= is ending up in the base64 sso parameter), but I guess the code ignores empty fields.
Names and pictures are optional on my system, but the way this is working now, once set, they can never be unset, only replaced. Any chance I’m doing something wrong? (If not, maybe this could be fixed?)
[Edit]: I had already searched for an answer, but of course the second I posted the above, I tried searching different keywords and found Allow name removal using SSO - #9 by mentalstring . Upvoted that but not getting my hopes up.
