Funcionários devem poder substituir/ignorar a configuração "AI translation backfill max age days"

Hey guys,

First of all, fantastic work with the AI translation plugin! We are currently testing it, and the initial impression is fantastic!

While we have been using it, we stumbled upon a specific use case: While we have some older content that we don’t want to be translated (via AI translation backfill max age days setting), there should be an option to ignore/override it for staff members.

Suggestions:

1) Better confirmations/error handling

When a post is older than AI translation backfill max age days, currently even as an admin, I don’t get any notice that the post won’t be translated. I just see the confirmation toast that it will be added to the queue, and then no translation is to be found for the post.

Instead, for regular users, there should already be a notice that since the post is older than the AI translation backfill max age days setting, it won’t be translated.

3) Override/ignore the AI translation backfill max age days setting.

Currently, to translate an older post, you basically have to set AI translation backfill max age days to a very high value, do the translations, and set it back to the original desired value.

It would be sufficient to just add an additional text info notice into the dialog-overlay lightbox that because the post is older than XY days, but you are an admin, it will be translated.

You mean when manually requesting a translation via the post menu? That should override the backfill max age days setting, as that setting is explicitly about the backfill.

Let me check it’s behavior.

That appears to be incorrect.

Just clicked on a over 10 years old post on Meta and asked for translations and it was translated just fine. Our backfill max age here is 5 years.
