My Private Replies plugin has a mode that does something very similar:
private_replies_participants_can_see_all
if enabled, anyone who participated in the topic can see all replies
Just put your “hidden content” as the second post in the topic and change the owner to another user, if that’s an option (the plugin will always show posts from the topic starter).
