Ich wollte eine Diskussion über die neuen Wörter eröffnen, die aufgetaucht sind, damit sie in verschiedenen Sprachen übersetzt werden (oder auch nicht).

Es scheint die Beschreibung für jedes Emoji zu sein:
Meiner Meinung nach sollte es nicht übersetzt werden, aber ich möchte die Diskussion offen lassen, damit Sie mir sagen können, was Sie denken, um zu wissen, ob wir diese Wörter übersetzen oder nicht.

I hate to reopen this, but I see they still aren’t translated and there wasn’t much consensus.

In this case, honestly, I don’t see why the categories shouldn’t be translated. If they were emoji codes like :dog:, I could understand some debate, but as for the categories… They don’t affect anything except the emoji picker. It’s not the description of each emoji as @SidV mentions.

In my opinion, it looks completely out of place. Honestly, I would translate it.

If only three people have discussed the topic since July 2017, it doesn’t make much sense to talk about a consensus.

I understand that it is indeed the description of the emoji.
Imagine if instead of typing :dog:, I had to type :dog: to make appear.

As far as I know, emojis cannot be translated as of today. What I’m suggesting would be beneficial to translate are the category descriptions:

• People People
• Nature Nature
• Food Food
• Celebration Celebrations
• Activity Activities
• Travel Travel
• Objects Objects
• Custom emojis Custom emojis
