'undefined' appearing in quotes inside [quote]s

produces:

Out of curiosity, what should happen?

if I post:

[quote]>

>[/quote]

then I see the “undefined” error, but if I use a matched set of < > then it’s not so bad

[quote]<

>[/quote]

becomes:

[quote]<

[/quote]

It’s > because that’s the Markdown blockquote character.

Multiline BBCode mixed with inline was a :candle: of :crab:
