Updating the top menu immediately without showing spinner loading for whole page

Is it possible to update the top menu links without showing spinner loading for whole page like for example if we press on category button on top menu it is showing a spinner for the whole page and after that it loads the new page is it possible that if we press on category button on top menu only the content below the top menu shows spinner animation and the top menu gets updated immediately
