I have only images for my badges and it takes a lot of time to upload the images inside a private topic or private message, copy the image link and paste the link inside the image URL field, scroll down at the bottom of the page and click Save…repeat. And sometimes if I don’t copy the right URL…well, you know what happens. 
Sure is not a big thing, but for 60+ badges it takes time…not to mention how many times I’ve redesigned them or created new ones and had to repeat this process.
So I think replacing that URL field with a file upload field would be very useful.
