Wanting to create a button in an instructional topic that has an image that a user can click and hyperlinks to the appropriate action.

Wanting for when they click the below image for it to pull up the “create account” slide

Wanting for when they click the below image for it to pull up “create a topic”

Any way to map that action based on a URL?

Yep, there’s /signup (https://meta.discourse.org/signup) for signing up and /new-topic (https://meta.discourse.org/new-topic) for starting a new topic.

You can even pre-fill the new topic:
