When a badge uses an image vs a Font Awesome icon, it scales too large on the user card:
The same (scaling too large) happens for the User Card Badge setting on the user preference page:

I think you need to choose an image that is scaled appropriately for the size of the card.
The height and width of the img element is scaled appropriately everywhere else using the main CSS though, on the public badge listing page for the badge itself and the “all badges” page, on the user’s profile badge list, and in the badge admin page, and even in its appearance on the user card itself … so only the bottom-right selected user card badge is broken.
