User-specific top menu ordering/default homepage view

Some users on my forum have requested the option to set their own default view - i.e to use Categories instead of the forum default Latest. As far as I’m aware this is set by the leftmost item in the top menu.

I haven’t been able to find a plugin that offers user-specific top menu settings (or any other mechanism for setting the default homepage). Is this feasible or is Discourse just not set up for this kind of customisation?

There is no way to do this at the current time.

Bummer. Thanks for the info though.

AFAIK most browsers have “bookmarks” / “favorites”
Could they not just use that?

I think it’s more of “where do I go when I click the logo?” that matters.

Is this still the case? I’d also like to be able to change the default for mobile vs desktop.

Users can now specify a default homepage:

It is not currently possible to specify a different homepage for mobile/desktop
