I admin a Discourse instance. A user with trust level 2 contacted me because he can’t edit his own post. But I have the requirement to edit posts as level 0. What could be going wrong?
Important information: The post in question is two months old. He can edit brand new posts. Is there a setting that locks edits after a certain time?

ha, I just noticed the same thing. Where is that located?
Found it! it’s in /admin/site_settings/category/posting
Yep, It was set to 86400; I never noticed because I’m an admin so that doesn’t apply to me.
Search your site settings for that string and you’ll find it.

Oh cool, I didn’t know the site settings were filterable by a search string.

Hmm. I get an error when I try to change the post edit time limit to 0:
The requested URL or resource could not be found.
Was this a bug that was fixed in the last year or so? We’re a little behind in upgrading our Discourse instance.
UGH never mind, I was impersonating this user in another tab and it confused my admin operation in the first tab
Setting it to 0 works!
