Issue
My organization is currently running an internal recruitment and re-commitment campaign, one of the bonuses we’re exploring is adding a user title and flair for bragging rights which is inherited from a user group. Unfortunately it seems a number of users on our Discourse instance are unable to select the title and flair from their user preferences and it’s not clear from me checking the settings or checking these users trust levels what the cause of this is.
Steps to reproduce
As a user, navigate to https://$discourse-instance/u/$user/preferences/account and try to change your title and flair
Potential workaround
Admins can manually set title and flair, but this isn’t sustainable for the potentially hundreds of users that may be requesting this of us.
