Using discourse to track issues?

I’m a contributor to a (17 yr old ) open source project and we’re deprecating our legacy issue tracker.

The structure and features of Discourse seem very close to our ideal issue tracker
Future proof
Import/export of content.
Rich authZ model
Voting
Trust levels
Badges
Platform independent.
Awesome self hosting support

I want to believe that someone has already done this and I wonder if it exists as a theme or possibly a forgejo plugin?
