Looks like, for one thing, they have now misspelled “Discourse”.

It appears the change has been rolled back.

We had a small copy/paste snafu. :grimacing: We should be back up and running with the updated ToS soon. :crossed_fingers:

new TOS links fixed

I know you have the right to delete and edit and redact content, but it would sure feel better to get a “thanks” rather than a silent deletion.

Even better, could you proactively describe why you’re making changes, maybe even in the banner itself? It’s something that the very community here — as site admins using Discourse elsewhere — may also want to mirror.

This is an important topic. We explicitly must agree to these new terms in order to keep using the forum.

Will there be an email notification regarding this change? It appears to be substantial to my eyes.

Honestly, a big thank you to everyone who has pointed out some of the things that needed fixing. It’s genuinely appreciated.

I’m a little behind on the process, but I believe we are looking at sending an email out as well. I’m not 100% on the exact form that will take at the minute, but will try and keep everyone appraised when I know more.

I think the main thrust of these changes is to fold in the things required by the new Digital Services Act. I’m not sure all forums will need similar changes as a lot can depend on the size of the company its attached to, so you may need to do some research as to whether this will also apply to your own site.
