We all crave connection. And when we want to bring people together, the easiest option is to spin up a group chat. It feels natural — everyone’s already on their phones, and the barrier to entry is basically zero. But if you’ve ever tried turning a Slack, Discord, or WhatsApp group into a real community, you’ve seen the trade-off — speed and convenience come at a cost.
One thing I’ve noticed is that AI LLMs are solving some of the problems with chat’s lack of organization. It can filter through the years of noise and find the buried answers and relevant discussions. You still have to know what to ask for though, so maybe the “home” is a layer that automatically organizes/summarizes chat content and brings it to the forefront for browsing and rediscovery.
