A user, amundo, reported a CSS bug in personal chat, sharing a screenshot that showed a wrapping problem. JammyDodger suspected that the issue might be related to the number of participants in the group chat. amundo further investigated and found an overflow: hidden; and text-overflow: ellipsis set on the name list container, but was unable to determine why the width was being set higher up the tree. A fix was later pushed by joffreyjaffeux, resolving the issue.
Looking at the ‘today’ separator, it looks like the whole page is extended. I wonder if that’s because of how many participants you have in your group chat? Let me see if I can test it out.
Yeah, there are a bunch in there. I tried digging through the hierarchy that contains the name list, and it seems like there is an overflow: hidden; and text-overflow: ellipsis set on it, but for some reason the width must be getting set higher up the tree. Haven’t managed to figure out how or why myself.
