I’ve got YouTube video links on lots of posts in my Discourse community.

When people view them in the post…does this happen?

Community view post increases – I think yes.
YouTube video stats increase?

If I care most about VIEWS in the COMMUNITY…does it matter if it’s a video from my YouTube channel or someone else’s (with permission)?

Will the community still get views AND the source YouTube video gets views?

Yes it increases both counts and no, source doesn’t matter, and no, you don’t need permission (even you didn’t ask it :wink: but you don’t need to ask permission even if you would like to be pollite, because asking something you are allowed to do just increaces noise)
