A user, christian_01, is experiencing an issue where Google AdSense ads are not appearing on their site after moving to a Digital Ocean server and setting up a custom install. They have added the publisher IDs correctly and Discourse appears to have added the spacing okay.
neil suggests checking the AdSense account for verification and validation issues, especially since the site is now on a different domain. SidV recommends checking the console log with developer tools in Google Chrome to identify any issues.
Another user, huynhthai824, is experiencing a similar issue and has verified their domain, but still hasn’t seen any ads after 14 days.
Possible Causes:
Verification and validation issues in AdSense account
Domain change requiring re-verification
Issues with ad requests (400 Bad Request response from Google)
Recommended Actions:
Check AdSense account for verification and validation issues
Use Google Chrome to check console log with developer tools
Verify domain and wait for ads to appear (may take up to 14 days)
i have added publisher IDs correctly and Discourse looks like it has added the spacing okay on my site, but the Google ads aren’t appearing - there is just a white space.
Any idea if this is an Adsense or Discourse issue? I added the codes just fine on the Discourse trial, but since moving to a Digital Ocean server and setting up a custom install, the ads aren’t displaying.
The requests for ads are getting a 400 Bad Request response from Google, so you should look in your AdSense account for any verification, validation, etc type of problems. If your site is on a different domain after the move to Digital Ocean, then you may need to go through some verification process again.
