Disable personal messages on a per-user basis
It is possible to disable personal messages for a specific user. As of a recent release, users can specify which users can send them PMs via the “Only allow specific users to send me personal messages” user preference on the Users page david. Admins and moderators can always send PMs. Alternatively, users can disable all PMs (except from staff) by disabling “Allow other users to send me personal messages” on the Notifications page. apautler was looking for this feature and found it helpful apautler.
Is it possible to disable personal messages for a specific user? I know there are some global settings, but we’d rather not make forum-wide updates, but instead have 1-2 Admin members we don’t want users to email.
If that isn’t possible, is it possible to allow members to message each other, but not message admins/moderators?
