I get this, but I also think something like @Ahmed26’s suggestion would be useful.
In our case (and I’m sure we can’t be alone in this) we have a freemium membership model, so ‘supporters’ who pay a membership fee get extra benefits. It would be handy for us to be able to extend that to our site’s forum and give supporters extra benefits such as more daily posts and likes.
