Bulk Removing A Single Tag from Topics?

AI-generated summary

The discussion revolves around the Bulk Topic editor in Discourse. cogdog is looking for a way to bulk remove a single tag from topics, but currently, the only option available is to remove all tags. nat confirms that this feature is not available and suggests upvoting an existing feature request on the meta Discourse forum, which cogdog can use to bring attention to the issue. The use case for this feature is to manage featured topics using the Featured Topics theme component, where cogdog wants to remove the featured tag from older topics without losing other tags.

I feel like I have found a secret weapon in the Bulk Topic editor! It’s useful for me to add a tag to a list of topics I can pull up in a search, using the Append option

But I’d really like a way to remove a single tag, the only option I see is removing all tags.

Ohh by the way the AI alt text feature here is FANTASTIC.

The use case is I am using a featured tag to identify topics I want highlighted on the main forum using the Featured Topics theme component - which I really like as it choose them randomly.

I like to keep about 30 in the mix, so I use the tag view and would like to remove the “featured” tag from say, the oldest 5. But the only way to clean is wiping all the tags, and I do not want to lose all the tags. Or editing one by one.

Not sure if this is possible?

Hey there, unfortunately I don’t think there is a way to bulk remove a single tag.
