Ability to show topics in a category but not open?

I tried searching for this, but could not find anything.

Installed less than a week.

I have a category that I created a special user group for. So that user group is the only one that can read/reply/create in that category.

What I would like to be able to do is have the category name and the topics IN that category display to everyone, but everyone can not actually open those topics and read them, only those who are in the special user group.

In other words, that category is currently completely hidden to those not in the new user group. I’d like to be able to supply a tease to those who are not, so they have an idea as to what is there, but can not view details, only topic titles, until they are in the new group.

Is anything like this possible?

The closest you can get to this is to set the category permissions for everyone except members of the group to See. Doing that will let everyone see the content of the category topics, but they won’t be able to create or reply to topics.
