For FAQs and informational topics, I find myself regularly selecting the topic, then hitting the home key to navigate to the first post. On mobile this requires selecting the topic, tapping the timeline (possibly, depending on settings and header view at the time), and then tapping the title of the thread.
To avoid these extra steps, would it make sense to add a direct link to the first post somewhere in the topic list? For example, where I have circled in the following picture. I figure the right side would be better, to avoid accidental clicks from making it too close to the existing topic/category/tag links. Thoughts?
