Using LLM translation can provide for more flexible translations.

Perhaps the AI Helper plugin to translate text to English (not sure about vice-versa).

If custom prompt is allowed then it works that way. But isn’t too practical if there is more text.

(And because we can’t adjust system prompt perhaps needed rules are close to impossible IF translation is done for one language only)

That’s not the desired use case.

The intention is to translate all site content with discourse-translator but using an LLM (e.g. gpt-4o-mini) to handle the translation tasks rather than,

It is particular appealing both cause it is more feature rich, we can teach it better about the markdown format so it avoids translating stuff it should not and voices stuff properly plus GPT-4o mini is just so cheap!

@Falco certainly has this on our roadmap.
