This guide explains how to allow multiple accounts to register from the same IP address by adjusting site settings or managing the Screened IPs list.

Discourse uses the max new accounts per registration ip
site setting to limit the number of accounts that can be created from a single IP address that has no Trust Level 2 or higher users associated with it. The setting has a default value of 3 users.
Increasing the registration limit for all IP addresses
To allow more than 3 users to register from an IP address, you can modify the max new accounts per registration ip
site setting according to your requirement.
Allowing specific IP addresses
As an alternative, the Screened IPs list is found at Admin > Security > Screened IPs. To allow an IP address, enter it in the New field, select βAllowβ from the dropdown menu, and then click the Add button:
Common issues and solutions

Issue: IP address is blocked even after increasing

Solution: Ensure the IP address is not already listed as βBlockedβ in the Screened IPs list. If it is, remove it from the list. -
Issue: Spam accounts registering in large numbers after increasing the

to a lower number and use the Screened IPs feature to whitelist only trusted IP addresses.
