Looks like Bluehost might have something here: http://cloud.bluehost.com/products/cloud-sites
4 GB and 4 CPUs for $9/month.
I have a site on their shared hosting service that I’m planning to move over. Might see how it works to have a second site on it with Discourse.

It kinda looks to me like “cloud sites” is just shared hosting by another name (a very buzzword-compliant name it is, too). That being said, as long as it supports the technologies that Discourse uses, there’s no reason why it couldn’t be made to work.

Good point, Matt. I didn’t look too close at it. I’ll let you know what I find when I get into it.

Did you ever migrate? Can you install Discourse on Bluehost’s cloud?

There were two main roadblocks:
I couldn’t get full root access to the server.
They wouldn’t let me install Docker on it.
So I would say it’s a no to being able to use Bluehost.
