Bulk Invite via modal only allowing one user (and not displaying correctly)

When I go to add individual users to an existing event using the Inline bulk invite field (via the Bulk Invite modal), something is awry.

When I add a user, there is no visual confirmation that they have been selected. However, I am able to apply the desired status to that user (whew!).

If I select another user (or users), only the last selected has the status applied.

There is a confirmation PM each time this is done, which strongly implies that this is meant to work for more than one user.

Here is a demo:

Of note, the .csv upload seems to work fine.

This is related to the Official Discourse Calendar (and Event) Plugin.

When I was attempting to bulk-invite a user, I noticed that every time I chose someone in the “Select” dropdown field, their username would not be populated in the box.

However, I’ve also noticed that even though it was not visually apparent the user was selected, if you were to then choose a status for them such as “Going” then press “Send invites”, the task would be completed normally.

Has anybody else encountered the same issue here?

This has tripped me up again today. Frankly, I’m surprised that nobody else has complained. It does rather criple the bulk invite feature.

Bulk invite UI broken

The bulk invite UI has been broken for some time now. Previously, the drop down listing users failed to show the name of the user, and with the most recent update, the dropdown is completely gone.

Sorry I missed this post, thanks for the report.

That should fix it once merged:

Note we will keep improving calendar in 2025.
