Can I enable the user popovers on mobile?

I noticed that here on meta.discourse.org, clicking a user’s icon shows a popover similar to on desktop (image below) instead of going directly to the user’s profile. Is there a way to enable this at a site or user level on other Discourse installs, or is this still an experimental feature exclusive to here?

Thanks!

It’s still experimental , and it’s also very likely to be included in Discourse by default soon.

For now you could install the theme component from @Johani’s  repo here: https://github.com/hnb-ku/Discourse-mobile-user-cards

Nice, I’m looking forward to it!

I’m not sure if you know about this already, but when you click outside of the popover to close it, any links or buttons behind the faded background are still clickable. Should I post that issue on the GitHub page or is mentioning it here enough?

Mentioning it here is enough (thanks!), we know there’s still a little work that needs to be done.

Can we get the new popover enabled for the user icons in polls on mobile? In a previous ask, it was made consistent with the behavior on mobile at the time. Now that the default behavior has been updated, I think the polls should once again be made consistent with the behavior everywhere else. It looks like @nbianca made the previous change, but that topic is closed so I figured I’d mention here instead.
