Cannot change chat notification sound

I noticed an interesting issue on 2.9.0.beta12. When I go to user>preferences>chat and attempt to change the Desktop chat notification sound to Bell or Ding, nothing seems to happen. The dropdown remains at "None" no matter what I do. Same results on desktop (Brave 1.45) and mobile (Safari on iOS 16.1).
