Can't get sendgird email to work after installation

Wasted 2 full days to make sendgrid work with a new installation but couldn’t figure out why email is not working.

SMTP username : apikey
SMTP password : Ssfdsfdsfds
Notification email:
Maxmind license: (unset)

I’ve hosted it on DigitalOcean.

I’ve done testing as per Sendgrid instructions How to Send an SMTP Email | Twilio

There is no email received, I can’t figure out what is wrong.

And yes I’ve whitelisted server’s IP address on sendgrid.
I’ve checked recipient’s spam/junk folder.

How do I debug? Any help?

Never mind, manage to fix it somehow. Not sure how though.
