Changing a shared draft category is done simply by selecting a new category in the “Destination Category” selector.
But there is no confirmation of any kind, which made me reload the page to ensure the category was changed. And moreover, even double-check by looking at the topic list 
Ideally, there would be a confirmation hint, such as what we have with the quick share feature on meta:
