Has anyone seen an official review comparing Discourse to Boonex Dolphin? I’m looking for an in-depth review of features, customizability, plugins, costs, user acceptance trends, etc. to help make a decision for a marketplace project integrating these themes: Content (WordPress), Community (Discourse/Dolphin) and Commerce (likely Magento).

I looked at Boonex a few years ago and was put off by the reports of it not being very optimised (resource hog). I’ve no idea what it’s like now.
Discourse is very optimised thanks to the team being in control of 99% of the stack 
and because team members like Sam are Ruby experts
Discourse is also free if you host it yourself. Also as I have said many times before, Discourse is now my favourite forum platform - and I’ve used many over the last 15 years.
Ultimately you need to decide what’s best for your community, and the only way you’ll be able to do that effectively is by spending quite a bit of time with each.
