While reviewing a pending membership application, as administrator I could really use an efficient semi-automated means of contacting the applicant with a request for more information, or to explain why they might have been declined, that did not require me to exit the discourse UI or to use my own email application (and address) to contact the applicant.
This method could involve a selection of tick boxes representing a series of standardised replies.
Is there such a method already in existence?
Is there any interest in making this possible within Discourse if not?
